Books
I 'm primarily a self-published author, but I've contributed to a couple of commercially published anthologies: A Cup of Comfort for Writers (Adams Media, 2007) and It Was a Dark and Stormy Night (Friday Books, 2007).
I've self-published one novel and print-on-demand-published four compilations of my work. However, I don't really advocate self-publishing, except for narrow niche markets.
All of my self-pubbed/POD books do fit a niche. Patches on the Same Quilt is set locally; the other four are compilations—two of my former "Peevish Advice" columns and two of my previously published (and mostly award-winning) short stories.
